Sunday Gospel

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 24,35-48.

Then the two recounted what had taken place on the way and how he was made known to them in the breaking of the bread.

While they were still speaking about this, he stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.”

But they were startled and terrified and thought that they were seeing a ghost.

Then he said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do questions arise in your hearts?

Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me and see, because a ghost does not have flesh and bones as you can see I have.”

And as he said this, he showed them his hands and his feet.

While they were still incredulous for joy and were amazed, he asked them, “Have you anything here to eat?”

They gave him a piece of baked fish; he took it and ate it in front of them.

He said to them, “These are my word that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and in the prophets and psalms must be fulfilled.”

Then he opened their minds to understand the scriptures.

And he said to them, “Thus it is written that the Messiah would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day and that repentance, for the forgiveness of sins, would be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

You are witnesses of these things.

A Wedding for Korina Sanchez and Mar Roxas?

When they first coupled up, people said it was all politics — especially since it was the time when Mar Roxas was running as a Senator. Now, the rumors are up again, but on a different level.

This time, Korina Sanchez and Mar are supposedly engaged, if reports are to be believed. Mar’s also reportedly running for President.

Korina’s sporting a massive ring (although she has yet to confirm if it’s an engagement ring). She, however, is ever present in a lot of Araneta affairs, Mar being one, of course. Latest is that Korina’s gonna be a June bride — but she said it aint gonna happen cause it’s “rainy in June”. hehe.

Anyway, Korina looks inlove, so if they wanna marry, then by all means, do so.  Afterall, love is all we need in this country… lots of it.

Sure’s gonna be free publicity for Mar.

John Lloyd in New York

John Lloyd Cruz has arrived…

… in New York. The trip has something to do with him shooting for the new Star Cinema movie, “in My Life”, opposite Luis Manzano (hehe!) and of course, starring Governor Vilma Santos. I think this is the movie where John Lloyd will be playing a gay guy — and Luis, his partner.

Anyway, in an interview, John Lloyd said he’s also looking forward to being with his family… they’re based in NYC. Said he has always thought of being in NYC as a vacation — of course, what with all the museums, plays, shops (my word, barcode scanner anyone, joke) to see… and this time around, it’s gonna be work, so it would be different.

ps: John Lloyd’s tv project, I Love Betty La Fea, ends today.
