Santi on All Saints Day

It’s Santino!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last night was a bit frightening… so windy, i was afraid my bedroom window would slam and crack, with shattered glass smacked at my face. hehehe.

Good thing it’s all over now, atleast in the Metro, as far as PAG-ASA is concerned. Heard from the news that storm Santi’s on its way to the South China Sea to Cambodia (i hope they will be okay). Reports also say that electricity got cut in some parts of the Metro, cause of the really, really strong winds — and that MERALCO would only be able to repair the lines once the wind settles down. On my part, dsl’s been sluggish (been calling my provider, cant get through, but am guessing it’s just the storm). Was trying to research pa naman term life insurance quotes online… hehehe, sugue. :p

Anyway, things will go back to normal tomorrow afternoon, said PAGASA, so buhbye Santi.

The Mar Roxas and Korina Sanchez Wedding

October 28, 2009 · Filed Under celebrities · 1 Comment

Yesterday, a lot were glued on the local evening news not for updates on storms, or crimes, but to know more about “the wedding”.

TV Broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez officially became Mrs. Mar Roxas after the two exchanged vows in a really classy wedding ceremony yesterday at the Sto. Domingo Church in Manila. Everyone looked sooo elegant in their FilipiƱanas, most especially the bride (of course!!!). About a thousand fans and supporters reportedly came to catch a glimpse of the bride and groom — they were all happy (one even said that she went there to see the couple before she dies, omg!), but of course, no one’s happier than Korina.

Who would have known that the broadcaster who kinda grew right before our very eyes is destined to be the wife of a Senator. Well, I think they’re a match cause Korina “is” Korina, if I may say. Not just a journalist, but Korina Sanchez.

If I heard it right, the two are going on a honeymoon trip to Japan before Senator Mar carries on with his campaign. I hope they’d have enough energy to make babies, hehe, but if not, they can always adopt babies to raise as their own, or maybe just get puppies (all they have to worry about are dog supplies, hihihi). Mar has a son, by the way, who’s the Best Man at the wedding. Sweet!

There’s a happy ending to Mar and Korina’s fairy tale romance after all… Congratulations :)

Sunday Gospel

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 10:46-52.

They came to Jericho. And as he was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a sizable crowd, Bartimaeus, a blind man, the son of Timaeus, sat by the roadside begging.

On hearing that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, son of David, have pity on me.”

And many rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he kept calling out all the more, “Son of David, have pity on me.”

Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called the blind man, saying to him, “Take courage; get up, he is calling you.”

He threw aside his cloak, sprang up, and came to Jesus.

Jesus said to him in reply, “What do you want me to do for you?” The blind man replied to him, “Master, I want to see.”

Jesus told him, “Go your way; your faith has saved you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed him on the way.

Colon Cancer, Colon Cleanse

October 24, 2009 · Filed Under personal · Comment

This is something a bit personal.

My tita died last night… and it’s colon cancer.

The family learned about it just a few months ago, and then like thunder, everything happened so quickly. We were at the hospital, and then after a few days, she was released… then, she’s now gone. Later tonight, we’ll be meeting with the rest of the family at the Loyola Memorial for her wake.

So maybe, well, just maybe, to help others not to develop such a cancer, here are some food we must eat to colon cleanse… must try having a high fiber diet like one filled with vegetables, fruits, beans, nuts, seeds and whole grains (brown rice, cabbage, corn, beets, carrots, citrus, and apples). Also, a medical website says that wheatgrass and spirulina (both are really becoming popular now in the country) are ideal for colon cleansing.

Of course, water is still best.

Stay healthy, my friends.
