Double Dead Meat
Ewww.

There’s a market somewhere in Divisoria and Blumentritt offering double-dead meat (and chicken). It’s so gross! This is part of the X.X.X expose’ last night (and on the news), and it’s just sick! Could not imagine how people could sell double dead chicken and meat (tested positive with salmonella bacteria). Tsk. How could they do this to their customers, who are buying from them (with their hard-earned money) to have decent food to eat.
Some of them are also selling expired liver spread disguised as “reno” potted. Attention: If you’re buying reno product, make sure it has the word “reno” embossed on the lid of the can, that’s how to make sure it’s authentic (that’s what the Reno administrator said when Henry showed him the fake liver spread they got from Blumentritt).
Some of the products these people from Blumentritt are also selling are burger patties (but they dont look like patties at all) and mushrooms-in-can. What if these burger thingies are being sold to students in stores along schools? This is just so sick!
The National Meat Inspection Service group are now actively hunting down all these sellers. They even seized kilos of double dead chicken in Tondo yesterday. Yeah, get those poison sellers! Seize them, they’re killing some of our people!
If you know others who are doing this, please report them to the National Meat Inspection Service people. Their hotline number is 9247973 (got this from gov.ph), and Trunkline: (632) 924-3119, 924-7977, 924-7971 (from their website).
If we dont stop this, it’s gonna be a triple dead thing, with people being the third.
Mygulay!

Chef to Go… I need a cake

Watching cooking shows is always a delight for me, it amazes me how these people could come up with such beautiful (cant say tasty cause it’s on tv) dishes. One of the most poular shows is Chef To Go, hosted by Chef Rob Pengson and Marvin Agustin, then there’s Ka-Toque, and there’s my favorite, 10-minute Kitchen Wonders with pretty chef Rosebud Benitez.
Now, what’s best about these cooking shows is that they make cooking look so easy — well because they have all these kitchen gadgets. I am no chef, and I dont cook that much, so it’s fun for me to discover easy ways to prepare meals… Schedule’s tight for working people like myself, so we need all the help we can get.
Okay, I wanna bake something for myself, since it’s my birthday month, and so here’s a bit of a guide on the stuff I need so I could have my cake.
First, I would love to make mini-cakes, so I think mini-cake and muffin pans would be needed. Mixing bowls too, pastry bags, and tips. If I would not be successful baking, Im pretty sure Id be great as a decorator, so “pastry tips” is my gadget. Am gonna need a mixer, too, and spatulas.. Im gonna need a lot of bakeware for my mini-cakes.
It sure is going to be easy buying all these in shops, even online, but now, with all these gadgets and my little kitchen-sense, am confused. I think am gonna need someone who knows the kitchen more than I do.
Oh well, goodluck to me.

Crime and Punishment
Several years ago, a young woman was murdered.
… but time really does run fast.
The President has just given executive clemency to Claudio Teehankie, Jr., the man who got sentenced after being proven guilty of killing 16-year old Maureen Hultman. It was a sensational case, especially since “a rich guy” is involved.
Now, I have nothing against pardon, it is the President’s right to pardon anybody she wishes to pardon… and because, personally, I believe everybody has the right to be forgiven, since everybody is capable of change. Afterall, a criminal yesterday could be a saint today… which could also hold true otherwise.

What saddens me, though, is how our authorities seem to prioritize “the rich kids”, when there are thousands, probably even millions, imprisoned… poor people who are in jail, not even convicted, who’ve been waiting for their cases to be heard, so they could be released.
This just shows that a rich “proven” criminal has more chances of getting freed than a poor “innocent until proven guilty” one… cause the poor “poor guy” would have to wait gazillions of years for a mere court hearing. And they’re literally killing time dancing for money, and hell, moving boxes as jail cells… that’s if they’re lucky not to get sick from exhaustion, and get “freed” in a box.
It’s like double injustice. Not fair to the victim, not fair to the innocent prisoners.
Justice delayed. Justice denied… justice kapoof.

X.x.X Cellphone Expose’

This is to thank ABS-CBN for featuring cellphone snatchers last night in their X.X.X. program. Thanks cause in your own way, you helped mobile phone snatching victims like us, and again, thank you for letting others know of this lame modus operandi by these lazy ass men.
It’s sad cause these men are so lazy that instead of working their asses off, they victimize people like us, people who work honestly and hard for our money so we could buy the things we want. These men are fit, strong enough to become carpenters or guards, or even drive jeepneys and taxis, but they’re just too lazy to do that — instead, they get easy money by stealing other people’s things. Tsk.
My cellphone got snatched along Commonwealth, too… that’s why i was no longer shocked when I found at (last night) that there’s a “cellphone surplus shop” along Manggahan in Commonwealth. Haay naku talaga. What people do for easy money.
Anyway, I hope these men would learn their lesson. It’s not so hard living here in Manila naman eh, all you have to do is be industrious, work hark, and blessings will come your way.
Thanks again, X.X.X.
