Alfred Vargas in Politics?
I just heard Alfred Vargas sing “Bakit di pagbigyan muli ang ating pagmamahalan…”… lol. Sorry, I do not have a clue about the song title, but yes, I heard him sing live — and while sitting on my sofa.
Did not actually see him, but he’s here somewhere near my place. There’s a gathering somewhere near, thought it was a party at first, but I’m thinking maybe it’s a political campaign thing.
… and why? Because I heard Alfred Vargas talk about his political agenda. Used his name — A for arts, L for livelihood, F for food production, R for recreation, E for education and environment, and D for development and for helping those who have disabilities. (I hope I got them all right). I was glued, cause I had no idea he’s running (or is he?) at our district.
Anyway, goodluck to him. I heard he is intelligent.
update: it’s almost 1 am and I’m still up. The “party”, or whatever it is they are having, is still not yet over. I think I’m gonna have to start doing tretinoin reviews cause im going to get all pimply for staying up soooo late. Hopefully not. Alfred’s gone though. Hehehe.

Architect Gonzalo Raymundo and his Bamboo Shelter
Pinoy People Power!!!
Let’s support our fellow Pinoy, Architect Gonzalo Raymundo in the prestigious Guggenheim Art Shelter Competition in the US. He’s one of the ten finalists, and currently holds the top rank… Let’s keep him there, so let’s vote vote vote!!!
Here’s a briefer on his entry, “A Bamboo Shelter in a Garbage Dump City”, lifted from the competition website.
“The shelter is located in a garbage dump where scavengers barely survive by collecting and sorting garbage. Made of bamboo, an indigenous material, on a concrete ba se, it is a place of refuge from the afternoon heat or a sudden rainfall. The bamboo wall represents people collectively carrying the roof above, expressing the proverb — where there is unity there is strength. It is a symbol of sustainability and hope.”
