Zip Line in Lucban
Yesterday, I was able to do my first zip line adventure at the Batis Aramin Resort and Hotel in Lucban, Quezon. It wasnt at all scary! In fact, it went by soooooo fast that i didnt even feel the thrill. Aww. lol.
My body aches a lot now (you know the feeling of your first yoga class or your first bowling session?), and it’s because I didnt just zip line, I also climbed a 50ft wall, and went through the resort’s adventure zone. lol. I just hope I didnt lose weight, cause I think the “eco-survival challenge” (as they call it) could replace the best top fat burners in a beat. ahh.
Kamay ni Hesus
I had the chance to go through the 292 steps of the Kamay ni Hesus Healing Church (located at Lucban, Quezon) yesterday.
It was a very tiring road to the top, and it takes a lot of perseverance to do it. I was with my mom and officemates, and thankfully, all of us who decided to climb got through it ‘okay’. The rest who didnt were able to catch Father Faller’s healing mass. We werent able to because it took us so long to get to the top. We had a lot of “stop overs” to rest a bit, and drink water.
The mass there starts at 9:30 to 12:00 noon, every Wednesday and Saturday. Lots of people go there to be healed no matter what condition one is in — be it as simple as eczema treatment to being paraplegic. An office mate said yesterday, one got healed and was able to walk.
The walk to the top starts at the Garden of Eden, and then eventually takes you to the Station of the Cross. The last, which is a huge monument of Jesus, I believe is about the Ascension.
At the foot of the shrine are people praying. Of course, this is aside the majority who are there to take pictures. Hehe.
Overall, it feels great to have gotten through it. Doubly great cause I experienced it with family and friends. If you happen to be there in Lucban, dont forget to visit the place.
La Mesa Ecopark Swimming Pools
Saturday and it’s still hot in Manila, so it’s a good thing that we decided to go for a swim.
We chose La Mesa EcoPark because it’s near, plus we’ll be having an event there soon, so we had to check the place. There are now three pools there, one near the entrance (that’s the old pool), and the other, near the fishing area (where there are two pools — one, where you could do laps, and the other for kids). We expected that lot of people would be there so we went as early as 8am. Yes, there are a lot who came, but it’s not really crowded. Lot’s of space for everyone, still.
A cavana (a nipa hut) costs P500 each, and we were lucky to be provided two for free (hehehe!). We love EcoPark
… Anyway, if you have an itch to go swimming, go there and you will have a great time. Swimming is a great fat burner supplement, will make you sexy.. hehehe.
Family Bonding at the La Mesa EcoPark
Last Saturday, we went on an unplanned trip to the La Mesa EcoPark. Received a text message from my cousin saying that they’ll pick us up at around lunchtime, so we could go have a picnic at the park.

First off, EcoPark’s just about three minutes away from our place but it was my first time there (lols) last Saturday… The entrance is right on the budget — i think it’s 40 pesoses (we’re QC residents so we got discounts), plus my two nephews got in for free (of course, they’re babies!).
Lots of things to do there — we went boating (it’s a hundred pesos per boat, for around thirty minutes), there’s wall climbing and rapelling (we’re not feeling that adventurous, maybe on my next visit), then a swimming pool, a lot of horses, a paintball challenge (which is fun for barkadas or officemates, or frenemies), obstacle courses, lots of trees, plus plus plus… most of the activities are all so tiring that it would beat even the world’s best weight loss pills. Hah!

Here are a few shots, subjects are my cute nephews and my cousin and tito. By the way, there were a lot of photographers there — these dlsr people had a shoot, they even had a model.. then, on the far end of the park, another photoshoot was held. Ayos!
You guys might wanna check the place out. It’s at East Fairview in Quezon City. If you’ll be commuting, hop on a Fairview bus, then tell the driver to drop you off at Camaro Street. There’s a tricycle terminal there, all ready, willing and able to take you to the park. I just dont know the rate..
If you have a car, same thing, head towards East Fairview, but turn right at CityOil gas station (next to Al Lee’s bar, former Sangkalan), then there’s a gate with a signage “Ecopark”.
Enjoy!
