Survivor Philippines Celebrity Edition

Wow, I just saw the teaser of the latest Survivor Philippines, and I’m guessing it’s gonna be a really interesting season (the third one). I love the mix, like the production really chose those with great bodies, as well as with drama. I love the John Hall-Aubrey Miles-Michelle Madrigal angle — though I’m pretty sure Aubrey’s really content with her life right now with papa Troy.

Anyway, here’s the video, if you wanna see. Got this from youtube.

The official 18 Celebrity Cataways are Mico Aytona, Parokya ni Edgar’s Buwi Meneses, teen star Princess Snell, model Solenn Heusaff, sexy momma Aubrey Miles, Ervic Vijandre, model Jon Hall, sexy actress Michelle Madrigal, Piolo’s yaya Moi Marcampo, model Akihiro Sato, champion runner Elma Muros, former tv star Karen Delos Reyes, bar master Pretty Trisha, Sex Bomb Aira Bermudez, Ian Batherson, Mykah of Bubble Gang, ex-kapamilya Ahron Villena, and Born to be Wild’s Doc Ferds Recio.

I’m thinking John Hall might win.

August 30, 2010 is the day.

Showtime on Pilipinas Win na Win

Did Showtime replace Pilipinas Win na Win?

I was able to catch Showtime last Monday and I was “weirded” — pleasantly though — by the fact the it ran for like hours without PWnW coming in. It was a cryfest — with Kuya Kim and Vice Ganda going cyber because, well, Kuya Kim is sick and had to be at the hospital, and Vice is somewhere out of the country.

So I asked a friend if Showtime replaced PwnW. I thought it was funny when my friend remarked there’s no more PWnW. It’s now Pilipinas Lose na Lose. Oh no! lol. Anyway, I heard it was moved to the 1:30 slot, which makes me wonder why they didnt just axe the program.

Does one need to graduate or enroll on online degree programs (hehe) to understand that the show is a failure? I dont know what’s wrong but I thought it was doing alright before it got reformatted to PWnW.

Anyway, I hope they do something about it. Was able to watch Eat Bulaga too, and happened to catch this pakulo where they go to this one community and give money and stuff away (just like that!). Cool!

Maybe Pilipinas Win na Win needs another makeovah!

Ilumina

Ilumina, starring Aljur Abrenica, Rhian Ramos, and Jackie Rice, will start airing tonight at the Kapuso network, GMA7.

It also stars award-winning actors Christopher de Leon, Cesar Montano (wow, Cesar moved to GMA!), Jean Garcia, and Ara Mina, and is directed by Direk Gina Alajar.

It’s a drama-fantasy series, about sorcerers wanting to get the powerful book of magic called the Ilumina… what will happen to their journey, this we must all watch. Anyway, I hope this will be better than Encantadia. I remember watching the Encantadia series (which I did with anticipation, pulse oximeter aside hehehe), and that really paved the way for the fantaseryes here in the country.

Right now, there are talks linking Rhian and Aljur, so that we have to wait and see yet. I think Rhian is with Mo Twister.

PS: Jackie looks pretty on the promotional photos but Rhian’s dress is better :p

Pilipinas Win na Win

So Wowowee’s officially out. Next up, Pilipinas, Win na Win!

It’s gonna premier tomorrow, and it will be hosted by Pinoy game show queen (and now, Presidential sister) Kris Aquino and Bad Boy Robin Padilla. Also co-hosting are Wowowee ladies Mariel Rodriguez, Valerie Concepcion, and Pokwang.

I dont really get to watch a lot of Wowowee, but I hope this new show will be better, or atleast be the same with Wowowee. It’s hard to topple Eat Bulaga, which Wowowee did, so I hope the power duo of Kris and Robin will do the trick. Anyway, by the looks of it, Robin Padilla will be singing some rock song (with the rock legends) to kick off the show. And who knows, a year from now, maybe Binoe will be up selling records to its future loyal audience too (ipods and MP3 players probably filled with Robin’s songs!) just like Willie Revillame’s novelty hits.

Good luck tomorrow! Break a leg!
