The first Pinoy Idol is Gretchen Espina!

Yehey! She has the best voice among the three, and for a singing competition like Pinoy Idol, she is the best choice.

Just a recap, Ram Chavez was first eliminated.

The remaining two idol finalists, Gretchen Espina and Jayann Bautista, then sang judge Ogie Alcasid’s original composition, “To You”, as the Final Idol Song (just like Kelly Clarkson’s “A Moment Like This” in American Idol).

Then the announcement of winners! Gretchen got it! Sad for Jayann, but she should not worry.. with her sexy good looks (plus talent), she’s super marketable. Even John “Sweet” Lapuz kept rooting for her earlier at Showbiz Central.

Gretchen gets a contract from GMA and BMG records, a million pesos from SM, a Mitsubishi ES 2008 model car worth a million pesos, and an avida condo worth 2.2 million pesos, that’s a lot of pesosesoses — 5.7 million worth of prizes, the biggest ever in the history of Philippine singing competition!

Make us proud, girl!

ang sabi ng mga judges kay jayann “Not just a singer but also a performer” ang sabi naman ng mga judges kay Gretchen ” You sang like a champion”, kung iisipin nating maigi in terms of the judges comments pareho lang deserving manalo kahit sino kina Jayann at Gretchen, pero in terms of money, si Jayann dapat ang nanalo kasi si Gretchen mayaman na.

wala kwenta ang pinoy idol.. the 1st na wla ang idol spirit because people were not happy.. and the winner is not deserving of the title. pwe! do the country a favor… please don’t represent the phil in the asian idol. pwe!

The real test would be how they would fare now that the competition’s over.. double the pressure nga lang kay Gretchen being the winner.

I Really want RAM or Jayann to win this competition and absolutely not Gretchen…

But No Doubt Gretchen wins this contest it not about the talent its popularity and money…The Espina clan has it..Politics and Money still rules…not just in elections but also in a contest like this…

she sang very well on that night and she has a good attitude, we can see in TV that Jayann can’t accept the reality…well anyways its just a matter of practice, they have their own voice…it can be developed,,,..i know that GRETCHEN can do better…Star appeall and attitude being a singer is one of the most important factor..I know that SHE (Gretchen) has a very kind attitude…Congrats…

Gretchen deserves the best on that Gala Night, she performs well..I know she can be developed more because she has the attitude of being a good singer, actress, performers, etc..Mabait kasi c Gretchen in fairness..Congrats…

in my honest opinion gretchen did not deserve the title..puro flats..ang layo kay kelly clarkson ah..haha..funny…pwede cguro sya sa barangay competitions……haha…..poor GMA..di kayo kikita dyan…

uhemm.. natawa lang ako sa blog na to.., gretchen vs jayann i’ll go 4 jayann xempre why ?? bcoz shes a 100 % gud perf0rmer.. Thats why lhat lang mga pilippino ay gus2 sya..ang manalo, hai..after manalo ni gretchen full of critizisim ang lang yari sa pinoy idol sucks…
