Arnel Pineda on Pacquiao-Clottey fight

March 13, 2010 · Filed Under event · Comment

Filipino singer, Arnel Pineda, is now in Texas for the Pacquiao-Clottey fight. The Journey frontman will be singing the Philippine National Anthem. I hope he’s as much of a “lucky star” as the La Divas who sang the anthem during Pacquiao’s last fight.

Anyway, another good news, was happy that it rained yesterday! Our country needs that. Hopefully, that would signal the end of El Nino.

Team Philippines! Team Pacquiao!

Arnel Pineda on Oprah

Journey’s Pinoy front man, Arnel Pineda, is on Oprah!

Yes, after Charice Pempengco, it’s Arnel who got the chance to strut his stuff on Oprah, along with the rest of the Journey band, of course. They’re there to promote “Revelation”, their latest album.

By the way, I heard Arnel’s story’s so inspiring that he will have his life story made into a biopic… it’s titled “Don’t Stop Believing: Every Man’s Journey” and will be shown next year. Cool! Arnel himself couldnt believe he was in front of Oprah Winfrey, much more, being interviewed by her. I guess he feels like a kid being given free chocolates in a candy store, or well, maybe a car lover with free chrome accessories coupons. lol.

I’ve seen Arnel once… at our office. He seemed really nice. :)

PDA Little Dreamer Amy on Ellen

Little Amy’s got international appeal!

Amy on Ellen

Ellen, yes, “the” Ellen who was super instrumental in whatever’s happening to Charice Pempengco’s career now, has reportedly invited our little Amy to appear in her show! In last Sunday’s The Buzz, they made an “eksplosibong rebelasyon” (trans. explosive revelation) about Ellen’s staff having called Amy for an appearance on her tv program. Wow! Sikat!

Ellen, apparently, got interested on little Amy after having watched a YouTube video of her “What’s Love Got to Do with It” Pinoy Dream Academy Little Dreamers gala performance. Oh my, if only Ellen could understand Pinoy language, she sure would also like little Amy’s rendition of Halik (trans. Kiss). That’s her best for me…

Here’s hoping that Amy gets to travel the road Charice and Arnel Pineda are taking, talented Pinoys who are now both making waves in the international scene, after being discovered from YouTube.

Go Amy! Impress the world!

Really think Charice Pempengco and Arnel Pineda are look-alikes.. you know, like the “separated at birth” thing..

Anyway, aside from that, Charice and Arnel got a lot of similarities… They’re both singers, they both got discovered via youtube (Pinoys love youtube!), they’re both Filipinos (hehe), and they’re both enjoying an international career all singers could only dream of having.

Must be in the facial structure…

PS: Support Pinoy artists, buy their CDs. Album cover on the pics.
