HUBAD and TUKSO at the CINEMALAYA 2008

Inviting everybody to watch HUBAD, a film by Denisa Reyes and Mark Gary based on the Virgin Labfest play written by Lisa Magtoto about a couple playing sex games to spice up their love life. The film opens up the play, and Nonie Buencamino and Irma Adlawan play two actors playing the couple in the play being directed by Peque Gallaga.  Confused?  Here’s more: Shamaine Buencamino plays Nonie’s wife and Dennis Marasigan plays Irma’s husband.  Intrigued?

HUBAD will be showing tonight (Sunday, July 13) 6:15 p.m. at the Tanghalang Pilipino (Cultural Center of the Philippines Little Theater).

Also in the cast are Mailes Kanapi, Tess Jamias, Mae Paner, Art Acuna, Jon Santos, Adriana Agcaoili, Audie Gemora, Robbie Guevarra, Madeleine Nicolas and other theater luminaries, including the Tanghalang Pilipino Actors’ Company.

And for those who still haven’t seen TUKSO, 2007 Cinemalaya Best Screenplay Awardee, or would like to see it again, it will have another screening on Tuesday, 9:00 P.M., July 15 P.M.at the CCP Silangan Hall (4th Floor).

West Side Story at the Meralco Theater this September

Balladeer and Asian hearthrob Christian Bautista pairs up with singer-actress Karylle for the West Side Story from September to October this year at the Meralco Theater.

West Side Story also features no less than Miss  Joanna Ampil, with Gerard Salonga as musical director; Audie Gemora as executive producer, and Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo as director.

Tickets are priced at P1,200 (orchestra/loge center), P1,000 (orchestra/loge side), P700 (balcony center), and P500 (balcony side). Tickets are now sold at Ticketworld (632) 8919999 (www.ticketworld.com.ph).
