Shocking News: Baguio City in State of Calamity Due to Garbage

Read: Calamity because of Garbage. This is shocking! To think Baguio City is one of the top tourist destinations in our country. The government there is desperately looking for town to accept their garbage, and they’re looking at the Province of Tarlac to be the place.

This is depressing, especially for Baguio residents. How can they allow this to happen?

This shouldn’t be happening. Garbage is definitely avoidable. But thinking of this scenario in Baguio City, it could be a blessing in disguise. People should learn from this disaster.

Having no garbage collector in a single household in a day is already a major problem, what more if its a city-wide disaster? They have to think fast before impending danger creeps in. Uncollected garbage may cause health risks to the residents especially during rainy season.

The problem and the solution cannot be passed on to the mayor alone. This should be dealt with by its residents and it should be a collective effort. Baguio City used to be a pleasant place to visit, especially during Holy Week but due to traffic and smog,  Baguio City slid down bottom of the Tourist Destination. To add to that this gross problem, now it seemed hopeless.

Garbage problem shouldn’t be difficult to solve. There’s only one solution to this: practice “Zero Waste Management”. It is doable. It only takes practice to make it a habit.

Let’s hope this doesn’t happen in Boracay, another top tourist destination. Let’s wake up! Don’t make your place be in state of calamity due to garbage!
