Bayani Fernando, Celebrity Duets Champ
Bayani Fernando won!
Not the Presidential elections, silly… but he won in Celebrity Duets Season 2. The MMDA Chairman was up against guys with “political connections” as well — former Paranaque Mayor, and actor, Joey Marquez, and the President’s fashion designer, JC Buendia. O-ha. Parang election lang di ba?
Quite expectedly, Bayani won. He has the best voice in the competition naman talaga… he’s almost a pro, having had a concert with DOE Secretary Angelo Reyes before (if am not mistaken).
Mother Ricky (Reyes) was even crying when Bayani won.
Sweet.
PS: Manalo rin kaya siya sa 2010? (trans. will he win on 2010?)

Text Celebrity Duets
It’s Celebrity Duets’ second week and this time around, fans can now vote for the “deserving” celebrity performer! The general voting procedure’s for people to text DUETS
Here’s a rundown of what happened in tonight’s show…
Supermodel Melanie Marquez seductively sang “Fever” with the equally seductive Vernie Varga. Tessa Prieto even said it was “sizzling hot!” To vote for her, text DUETS MELANIE.
Chef JL sang “Yakap sa Dilim” with Agot Isidro. We think he dragged Agot to the pit, and we agree with Mr. Freddie when he said “everything was better last week”. To vote for him, text DUETS CHEF.
Metro Gwapo Bayani Fernando sang “Miss My Lovin’” (waaah, not sure about the title, lol) with Nonoy Zuniga, and he made Danny Tan say he has one of the best vocals in the competition, very stable”… Just a sidenote, he’s got a lot of banners this early in the competition… Media mileage, early campaign for 2010, maybe? Hehehe. To vote for Bayani, text DUETS BF.
Phil Younghusband sang “Never Let it Slip Away” with Jay-R, and judge Tessa’s smitten. Even Mr. Freddie saif he’s a hundred percent better this time around. We think they’re exaggerating, though… and that the guy needs more than just cuteness to win. To vote for him, text DUETS PHIL.
Beauty queen Carlene Aguilar blended really well with Acel Santos. We just missed the title of the song, but it was this one song from that one girl from youtube did. To vote for her, text DUETS CARLENE.
Fashion Designer JC Buendia had a broadway performance with Jinky Vidal (oops, dont know the title) … and we find it funny when Mr. Freddie said that what he did was courageous, very brave, and worthy of a national heroes holiday.. hahaha. comedy!!! Cause yeah, he took a really hard song, and well, let’s just see the results next week if the others liked his performance. To vote for him, text DUETS JC.
Cory Quirino sang “Bailamos” with Renz Verano… and though she’s much, much better last week, she has till proven herself to be a super bailamos this week. She’s the one we’re looking forward to seeing the most! To vote for her, text DUETS CORY.
Then, last, was tsong Joey Marquez who sang “Bababaero” with orig-singer Randy Santiago… It’s the typical Joey performance.. To vote for manong Joey, text DUETS JOEY.
Next week, one of them’s gonna be eliminated! Who’s it gonna be? The power’s in your hands.

Noli de Castro leads Pulse Asia Survey on 2010 Elections
It’s kabayan Noli de Castro on the lead at the latest Pulse Asia Survey for Presidentiables this coming Elections 2010. Shortly following is former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada followed by a tie between Senators Francis “Chiz” Escudero and the beautiful Loren Legarda.
Senator Legarda got interviewed by ABS-CBN as to her opinion of Vice President de Castro being number one on the said survey, and she said it’s because Noli is the lone administration 2010 Presidentiable, whereas they are many in the opposition. It will be remembered that the two had a falling out last election because of some issues regarding election returns.
Moreover, the Survey shows that Erap magic is still there - that’s he is still popular with the masses, and probably with the other unmentionable elites who might be fed up with the current administration. Maybe the people havent had enough of Erap, especially since his administration got cut off abruptly due to some unfortunate (or fortunate, depending on who’s reading) turn of events.
So far, we only have one confirmed Presidentiable, and that’s Bayani Fernando… With the interview about this Pulse Asia Survey, looks like Vice-President Noli’s gonna be one as well.
So who’s gonna be the opposition candidate?
Your guess is as good as ours here at TheFilipinoWeb
