A Special Day

This is unlike any other day.
It’s my birthday.

We had a reunion, and my family complete
But instead of laughter, we were filled with tears.
No food for a party, but our souls got its feed
The only thing I wished for, I lost at the bid.

But I know God has plans, and His ways better, though for now, I dont understand.
And so today, the saddest celebration, but the strongest I have been.

Thank you, Father, for your precious gift.

Birthday rose

So far, so good for my birthday month… :)

Last night, at Mass, I got these flowers as a birthday present from our parish.. sweet gift..

… and today, I found out I was one of Nuffnang’s “chosen ones”. Remember I posted about their search for 68 bloggers? I entered the contest, and I won! Pokwang Celebrates Her Birthday

We like Pokwang… for one, you could really see that she’s one hardworking momma, and puts on a lot of effort to be on top of her craft. She’s a living cinderella, a rags-to-riches woman… tireless, and one who’s willing to humble herself amidst all the controversies surrounding her.

And so, we wanna join the rest of her fandom (oh devah) as we greet her a super happy birthday! Life is good for the people who only do good for other people, for as they say, if others are harsh to you, kill them with kindness.

May you continue being an inspiration to people, especially to moms out there who’d like to give up.. may you continue being an agent of happiness — with your crazy antics and costumes. Hehehe.
