ABS-CBN kapamilya homegrown talent Diether Ocampo’s now a kapuso. My initial reaction was a shocked, “huwaaat!?” :D

Ricky Lo reports that Diet signed a maximum four-year contract with GMA Network where he’ll be doing koreanovela adaptations, host some stuff, and of course, movies. It was also mentioned that his first project is All About Eve with Iza Calzado. By the way, Diet just finished Iisa Pa Lamang in ABS-CBN, opposite Claudine Barretto.

Will this be a good move on Diet’s part? Hmmnn… But I know Diet’s one of the well-loved guys in the kapamilya channel, as in he’s loved by all, so for sure, the kapuso folks would love him just as much.

Mommy Rose and Gabby Concepcion

50 Million for Gabby Concepcion’s contract — I heard this is the standing offer of Mommy Rose Flaminiano for anybody who would wanna buy out Gabby’s contract.

Now that there’s a controversy involving the two, which had already spread to include showbiz talkshow host Cristy Fermin and former actress Nadia Montenegro, Mommy Rose wants big money for the contract she forged with the in-demand comeback actor.

The price maybe steep, but Id say it’s but fitting, after all the troubles the “manager” had to go through for Gabby’s return in the country. It’s almost like getting the best travel deals, where the actor traveled to the Philly and got booked left and right, where he made quite a big comeback starring in ABS-CBN’s Iisa Pa Lamang (opposite Claudine Barretto and Angelica Panganiban).

Hopefully, they’d just make amends and be friends again. Life is too short to have misunderstandings with each other.

Jericho Rosales and Carmen Soo for Kahit Isang Saglit

That’s right… kapamilya network ABS-CBN is making history through Kahit Isang Saglit (trans. “Even for Just A Moment”), which they’ve been tagging as the very first Asianovela. The new tv series features Jericho Rosales (one of the finest actors of his generation) and the very beautiful Carmen Soo (model actress from Malaysia).

The show, which is a partnership between ABS-CBN and Double Vision Malaysia, also features the following actors: Albert Martinez, Christopher de Leon, Luisa Chong, Mark Lucelo, Amalia Fuentes, Cristine Reyes, Sharlene San Pedro, Wilma Doesnt, Malou de Guzman, and Empoy Marquez.

The show will premier tomorrow, and will air from Monday to Friday on Philippine tv via ABS-CBN’s primetime bida (after Iisa Pa Lamang), and in Malaysia on Saturdays and Sundays. The show is directed by Jerry Sineneng, and the late Gilbert Perez.

Yep, cause the Diamond Star is back to entertain us, or shall I say, to make us cry via a remake of no less than the Queen Susan Roces’ Florinda. It’s part of kapamilya network ABS-CBN’s Susan Roces Cinema Collection, the first two of which were topbilled by Kris Aquino and Claudine Barretto. Maricel Soriano is the lucky third.

ABS-CBN reports that Florinda is “about a woman who loves unconditionally and who will do anything to fight for what she believes in” and, that it’s all about mystery and secrecy.. Hmmn… kinda like my story? Hehehe… Joke.

Also in the cast are Cherry Pie Picache (who we adore in Iisa Pa Lamang!), fafa Jay Manalo, William Martinez, pretty Roxanne Guinoo, our fave Nikki Gil, and Zanjoe Marudo.

So how will the story unfold? Secret!!! (Secrecy daw kasi eh, hehehe)
