Marian Rivera with Jake Cuenca

I read in an Aster Amoyo column that Marian Rivera will be having a movie with Jake Cuenca. Accordingly, it was Mother Lily who shared the info, and that of course, the movie will be under Regal Films.

So this is gonna be a marriage between a kapuso and a kapamilya artist. wootwoot!

Speaking of Marian, she’s being compared with Carla Abellana, a new kapuso artist who’s gonna be playing Rosalinda. They kinda look alike, eyes and smile-wise. Who knows — Rosalinda might be just as lucky (or even more) than Marimar!

Precious Hearts Romance on ABS-CBN

This one’s for the mushy lovey-dovey Pinoys…

Kapamilya channel ABS-CBN will be featuring love stories from the pocketbook, Precious Hearts Romance. They say the book’s got around 6,000 titles already (so that means a lot of episodes, mygulay!).

Have seen a teaser featuring some boys, although I only recognize Jake Cuenca. The romance will star this May. No word yet as to what time this one’s gonna be aired but am guessing it’s gonna be on during the weekdays, and afternoon at that… or maybe Saturdays, ala-Gimmick or TGIS (remember those shows?)..

I think I want a heart jewelry now. My precious. lols.

Calayan versus Belo

… just when it’s almost over…

This time, it’s Dr. Manny Calayan versus Dra. Vicky Belo. Nothing serious really (I hope), but Dr. Manny finally lets his heart out on the issue that Dra. Belo said that if you wanna look like Boy Abunda, go to Calayan’s.

Dr. Manny, in rebuttal, said Dra. Vicky should have picked an endorser of his clinic who’s of the same age (or almost) as Dingdong Dantes and Piolo Pascual. He said Dra. Belo shouldve had picked Jon Avila and Jake Cuenca, also endorsers of Calayan.

Well, Dr. Manny’s right… Same age! Truth is, Boy Abunda looks good for his age… add that to the fact that he is one of the sensible people on tv.

Anyway, I hope this thing gets settled na. I think Dra. Belo has a lot of problems now, and this one would just add to her stress.

I could see light at the end of the tunnel… err, it’s light fixtures pala.. toinks.

No, seriously, I hope things get well between them.

Bangs Garcia is Maxim Covergirl

Kapamilya girls are on the roll… We’ve just had Cass, and now, there’s Bangs. Valerie “Bangs” Garcia is the latest covergirl of men’s magazine, Maxim, for its November 2008 ish.

Bangs first appeared on tv as a teeny bopper without a face, cause her “bangs” literally covered her fez… after the show, she got a more “mature” role via Palos, opposite Jake Cuenca… and kinda against Roxanne Guinoo. There was a girlfight rumor before between the two, but I bet it’s all for publicity.

Anyway, am kinda digging the torn jeans look. Plus, Bangs looks like Nicole here, from the Pussycat Dolls.
