No work on June 30! Yipee!

Outgoing President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has set probably the last among all her holiday declaration. It’s this June 30, in time for President-elect Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III’s inaugural at the Quirino Grandstand (also, Vice President-elect Jejomar Binay).

There’s also gonna be a street party at night at the Quezon Memorial Circle — the same place where President Noy had his grand sortie along with his VP candidate Mar Roxas. I love the news especially since I work near the area, so the holiday announcement’s a surefire way for me to avoid the heavy traffic that would happen that date.

Anyway, I’m all for good vibes. I sincerely wish that President Noy will be able to battle the cancer (yes, almost like an Asbestos cancer) that’s been plaguing our nation — lack of love. Let’s help bring back the love for our country… so we would all be able to love — and not hurt our people.

The Mar Roxas and Korina Sanchez Wedding

Yesterday, a lot were glued on the local evening news not for updates on storms, or crimes, but to know more about “the wedding”.

TV Broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez officially became Mrs. Mar Roxas after the two exchanged vows in a really classy wedding ceremony yesterday at the Sto. Domingo Church in Manila. Everyone looked sooo elegant in their Filipiñanas, most especially the bride (of course!!!). About a thousand fans and supporters reportedly came to catch a glimpse of the bride and groom — they were all happy (one even said that she went there to see the couple before she dies, omg!), but of course, no one’s happier than Korina.

Who would have known that the broadcaster who kinda grew right before our very eyes is destined to be the wife of a Senator. Well, I think they’re a match cause Korina “is” Korina, if I may say. Not just a journalist, but Korina Sanchez.

If I heard it right, the two are going on a honeymoon trip to Japan before Senator Mar carries on with his campaign. I hope they’d have enough energy to make babies, hehe, but if not, they can always adopt babies to raise as their own, or maybe just get puppies (all they have to worry about are dog supplies, hihihi). Mar has a son, by the way, who’s the Best Man at the wedding. Sweet!

There’s a happy ending to Mar and Korina’s fairy tale romance after all… Congratulations :)

Noynoy Aquino and Mar Roxas for 2010

So it’s really gonna be a Noynoy Aquino and Mar Roxas tandem…

… and most likely the team to beat, with Noynoy having “integrity” as his selling point, and Mar, his economic background. And, they’re both related to former Presidents, so they should know what they’re doing.

Aside from the two, others in the running are Former President Joseph Estrada (he says it’s 99.9% sure about it), Sipag at Tyaga king Manny Pangilinan (who has yet to find his vice presidentiable), Gilbert “Gabo” Teodoro (no running mate yet, and some people think it’s a kiss of death, him being endorsed by the President.. awww… well, let’s all see..), and then there’s Loren Legarda, Noli de Castro, Chiz Escudero, and Jejomar Binay.

I think Manny Pangilinan should get Makati Mayor Binay as his vice president — it would make a good fight this coming 2010 election. Am not sure about the others but with the recent development — I mean the Aquino-Roxas tandem, Pangilinan-Binay is the best match. Just make sure that there’s an online backup or something come election day.. You know, just in case there’s power interruption…

Korina Sanchez and Rated K

Top ABS-CBN anchor and broadcaster Korina Sanchez takes a leave of absence, following reports that she is about to get married to Presidential aspirant, Senator Mar Roxas.

She’s not really totally leaving the network cause she will remain as host for Rated K. She’s just taking a break from her two other shows, news program Bandila, and radio program, Tambalang Failon at Sanchez.

… finally, Korina’s gonna get married.
