Ramiele Malubay in Manila

Cutie Pinay American Idol finalist Ramiele Malubay is set to arrive in Manila this December for a two-night concert with Ogie Alcasid.
The concert, which will be held at the Aliw Theater in Pasay City on December 20 and 21 will also feature the Pinoy Idol singers, as well as indie rock outfit, Menaya. In an interview, Ogie said something like he wanted this concert cause he want something to happen to the Pinoy Idols, and not be left out… or not be moving companies, moving from one network to another (italicized, my personal guess)… and I think that’s sweet and selfless of Ogie.
Get your tickets! P10,000-worth tickets are said to be already sold out… so better get the P3000, P2400, P1400, and P650 ones. You may also call Ticketworld at 891-9999 or Ticketnet at 911-5555 or TheUnderGround Studio at 376-2732.

And the Pinoy Idol Winner is…
So the Pinoy Idol final three had just wrapped up their final songs…
What’s our verdict?
Jayann Bautista has the looks. Just a glimpse, and you’d see a celebrity. She’s got this big voice, but even if she sometimes gets off-key (she must be nervous), we’re so blinded by her good looks and sexy bod that we’re willing to forget.. hehe. Just a little tweaking and she’ll be fine. Her last song, Tina Turner’s Proud Mary, proved she could perform. Ala-kylie minogue, maybe? Sexy!

Gretchen Espina has the best voice. She’s there not because she’s the daughter of a governor but because she really has what it takes, the singing skills, to be a Pinoy Idol. She may be emotional, as always mentioned by judge Ogie Alcasid, but that means she’s equipped, experience-wise.

Ram Chavez has the personality. He has an okay voice and an okay look, but what distinguishes him from the other two is that he seems to breathe like a star. He can move the crowd, and is not afraid to take risks. Very daring, and we like that! Rugged but clean. Astig!

We’re guessing the Pinoy Idol Winner is…

Pinoy Idol Final Five
Warren Antig is out!
Now, Pinoy Idol has its final five: Daryl Celis, Kid Camaya, Gretchen Espina, Jayann Bautista, and Ram Chavez. For the record, it’s only Jayann and Gretchen who’ve never been part of the bottom three. Host Raymond Gutierrez also announced that there’s gonna be a three-way fight at the Pinoy Idol grand finals (unlike the duel in American Idol) which will happen on August 17, at the SM Mall of Asia SMX.
The pot money is also peaking at PhP5.7 million! Now, taht’s high so idols, better listen to the comments of judges Jolina Magdangal, Ogie Alcasid, and Wyngard Tracey. They sure know better!
So who would it be? Will it be the guys, or the girls?
Go Pinoy Idol!
