Willie Wants Out

Defunct show Wowowee’s main man Willie Revillame wants out of ABS-CBN…

… and apparently, the kapamilya network is not too keen on it. Maybe even if he cries faucets, i mean buckets, they wont let him go.

Willie claims his contract with the network’s already over, but there are talks that it’s still up til next year — that’s September 2011. Willie’s willing to face whatever it is that might come up because of this. There are comments on message boards online that this is like a lesson for him, for what, well, it’s up to you to decide. Now, he also commented on Pokwang apparently having said that she’s the reason Wowowee’s ratings were high. Anyway, I hope they patch things up. It’s not nice seeing talents like this.

PS: Willie also said something about a Will Network. Hmmn.. What’s your thought on this?

Pilipinas Win na Win

So Wowowee’s officially out. Next up, Pilipinas, Win na Win!

It’s gonna premier tomorrow, and it will be hosted by Pinoy game show queen (and now, Presidential sister) Kris Aquino and Bad Boy Robin Padilla. Also co-hosting are Wowowee ladies Mariel Rodriguez, Valerie Concepcion, and Pokwang.

I dont really get to watch a lot of Wowowee, but I hope this new show will be better, or atleast be the same with Wowowee. It’s hard to topple Eat Bulaga, which Wowowee did, so I hope the power duo of Kris and Robin will do the trick. Anyway, by the looks of it, Robin Padilla will be singing some rock song (with the rock legends) to kick off the show. And who knows, a year from now, maybe Binoe will be up selling records to its future loyal audience too (ipods and MP3 players probably filled with Robin’s songs!) just like Willie Revillame’s novelty hits.

Cesar Montano: Wowowee Now; Singing Bee, Next

Singing Bee will make a comeback but for now, reports say that Cesar Montano’s gonna be hosting Wowowee for two weeks.

Since Willie Revillame is now out of the picture — he is on indefinite leave (which I think is short of you’re terminated but we cant let you go yet otherwise, we’d be forced to pay you more hehehe), ABS-CBN is probably looking for the best person to replace him. Robin Padilla would have been a great choice (given the high ratings), but Binoe, as he had mentioned in a report, doesnt really want to benefit from something he hadnt started. Well, words to that effect.

Anyway, despite the “problems” within the show, Wowowee remains to be a top-rater… and I think part of that is because of Pokwang. She’s just too cute and funny with all her costumes (she looks sexiest in equestrian apparel though — also the Binoe get up last Saturday).

Why not just let Pokwang and the girls be hosts? Hmmnn…

Pokwang Celebrates Her Birthday

We like Pokwang… for one, you could really see that she’s one hardworking momma, and puts on a lot of effort to be on top of her craft. She’s a living cinderella, a rags-to-riches woman… tireless, and one who’s willing to humble herself amidst all the controversies surrounding her.

And so, we wanna join the rest of her fandom (oh devah) as we greet her a super happy birthday! Life is good for the people who only do good for other people, for as they say, if others are harsh to you, kill them with kindness.

May you continue being an inspiration to people, especially to moms out there who’d like to give up.. may you continue being an agent of happiness — with your crazy antics and costumes. Hehehe.
